Dream Theater - Black clouds & Silver linings (2009)

"Not all bad comes to nucere" This is the translation of the title of Dream Theater is now released in June '09, I talk about it because for me it has never been a progressive branch of the rock that made me crazy in the past, I certainly listened to the greats like Genesis or Yes I passed, appreciated but never listened to me closely like with other genres close to my taste, sporadic short plays.

The previous work of the "chaos Systematica" I had just listened very casually, and I promise to go and listen more carefully now, because I have to say that initially it was for this job, but then slowly I started to appreciate it, and the influence of the metal in the group has always helped me to assimilate.

And I must say that I like much, primarily for the ability of the musicians of the group that is highlighted with the courage to propose also tracks the long-term average, which today because some producers and record companies do not encourage, is not more common, while in the 70s was very common, and then because they know perfectly mix the colors to progressive metal.

The first three tracks "Anightmare to remember", "A rite of passage" and the fantastic ballad "Wither" are really good, the rest of the album is very good even if the songs are slightly lower the first three, but if you like listening to songs and virtuoso played really well this is your disc.

Worth noting is the triple-disc edition with two bonus discs that contain the instrumental version of the album covers of various bands and 6 of the past, Rainbow, Queen, King Krimson, and Iron Maiden can not miss.

Game Blunts Wholesale

Mea culpa!

I know I must do the mea culpa from reviews now because I'm still a fortnight or more!

In my defense I must say that work commitments I was distracted, but this is not an excuse, because even the new releases and historical lthough many albums are there waiting to be reviewed as the CD Gallows, Elliot Minor and Unsun Spoon or Biffy Clyro for new, or history as the Live album by Bob Seger, System of a Down, Wasp or Kula Shaker.

Actually I was also thinking about how to reformulate the blog and whether to insert as well as album reviews including articles on the music compared to historical periods or relationships with the company, this will be seen in the meantime, I promise you will recover from this weekend to dispense reviews.
